Aw, WHAT?! That was the only thing I actually bothered to watch on More4. You can't even watch it on Comedy Central's site due to being outside the US. Not impressed.

Yeah, it was a regular fixture for me too. The Global Edition shown on CNN and on Mondays on M4 just isn't good enough.

It can be watched in the UK, via Firefox and the 'Modify Headers' extension.

They should've trialled it at 11pm before dropping it completely. It's a shame because it was just getting back on track after that Rally nonsense.

They slipped this one in very quietly, but it seems they've put together a special and new surprise Channel 4 ident just for Father Ted night (though it'll presumably pop up on subsequent occasions now). Filmed with the ruins of an abbey making up the 4, with obligatory Dougalesque rabbits hopping past.

Saw that tonight. I don't think it's for Father Ted Night, just a new one. It's a stunning ident too. I miss the days of BBC1 & BBC2 introducing new idents on New Year's Day. It's a nice little surprise for the viewers.

Well assuming its the one referred to on this page here:-

It looks like it was filmed back in October, so perhaps it was originally meant to go to air with the refresh, but they decided to hold onto it for a while instead.

Saw that new one yesterday during the afternoon so that wasn't it first showing during Father Ted tonight.

Does no one post about these things when they're new anymore then? Laughing Has anyone else seen it appear at any other random points in the schedule recently?

I can only speak for myself but I would have certainly captured and posted it here had I seen it 'yesterday during the afternoon'. Judging by the CA, it was his first time seeing it [on air] too.

I can't see any significance of Father Ted in the ident so I doubt it's specifically for the night.

The rabbits surely? Though I agree it's not a Father Ted ident, just quite apt.

Lucky they found an ruined abbey with a C4 logo-shaped walls I say.

Not that they had to do much CGI adjusting to Bayham mind....
