As I said originally, US networks don't UK programmes and panel shows aren't really a thing there. Seems they hacked it around a bit to make it fit the ad breaks
It is a very British show but it has quite a following over there. I suppose the problem is that its not enough of a following for a mainstream network, and those who love it have already seen it
Think it actually scored a 0.0 in the ratings. Was an odd buy considering theUS version bombed and the British version really is a British show.

I don’t think they can cope with shows over there that aren’t all recaps, over-excited voiceovers and tense music, so it was doomed from the start really.

The January run was quite a short one, only six episodes iirc. I guess recording two series at the same time means you can get each guest on a few times without it looking stale.
I'm surprised we haven't seen a Cats does Countdown extended version (QI XL style)
or an outtakes special, some of the edits are painfully obvious, presumably for time. There must be some good stuff that hasn't been broadcast.
There's a cutaway in Jimmy's intro every week since the format changed and he doesn't do a few jokes before sitting down. The edit looks like he still does them from the desk but they get cut.

And this is significant because...?

Looking at the All4 TV Guide, I think the Film4 premiere of The Long Haul (A Diary of A Wimpy Kid movie) is broadcasting today (and coincidentally, now)

Doesn't say much about the host if they're cutting out his main intro, but I agree. It is usually a good 20 minutes or so before they even start the show, and that 20 minutes can often be the reason to tune in.
It is great though the show can be a space for what often is absolute nonsense, both in the intro and the guest segments. Where else would you get Jon Richardson sitting on the knee of "Sean Bean" playing the harmonica?

It’s probably one of the few places on TV for up and coming comics to reach a wide audience too.

I’ve been to see Cats Does Countdown being filmed (Christmas special in 2014) and it’s amazing how much gets cut out, the recording must have gone on for about two and a half hours or so, including a small break. (I believe this is normal.) I’m quite surprised they haven’t done a compilation or put some of the stuff they’ve cut out on a special.
The guests can be hit and miss, but it does seem to be one of the few mainstream shows where new comedians get a bit of airtime.

The Hollyoaks @ 25 and prev. Hollyoaks Favourites DOG's are imposed by Lime Pictures it seems and not E4. I don't understand why we need such graphics on our screens when we know as viewers that they are older eps due to Covid-19. You'll notice when E4 do ECP's that the H@25 gets squashed with the picture.
When are E4 going to change their awful IPP and ECP styles, I find it so odd that their presentation for end credits or ipp's isn't in line with how the other C4 channels do it.
The Hollyoaks 25 DOG on E4 is not only massive but it’s not even aligned properly so it’s not even fully on the screen. All I can see is the bottom half of the letters ‘Hollyoa’ and a big 2 and half a number 5 underneath it.
