What did Host The Week get to be axed after 1 episode?
Another new entertainment show launched on Channel4 at 10pm, #MoGilligansallstarhappyhour. The first episode drew a modest 350k/2.5% up against the juggernaut of the #BBCNewsatTen @ExpectationEnt1 #uktvratings https://t.co/DSYC3PhVGB

400k but it was on at 9pm and a lot more expensive.
Rock bottom at 10pm, beaten by Family Guy on ITV2. And in 16-34 numbers it was beaten by a range channels. Watch C4 try to put some spin out about it reaching a hard to reach audience to justify its existence.
Fun fact: Expectation's shows yesterday (that and Steph) had a collective audience of 500k.

Is anyone surprised?
They could have rerun Friday Night Dinner last night and probably got 2m viewers. C4 are going to need to be a lot smarter to get through this - did worry me a bit last week when Katz praised Ben Frow for doing things on the cheap at C5. Although clearly needs must at the moment in many areas they need to be aiming higher than that.

This is a stupid thing to say but I notice before the ad break finishes on CH4 channels, the last ad goes static for 2 seconds and then cuts to black for a millisecond before going to a promo or something. It doesn't do this on ITV and CH5. Am I the only one who notices this?

That has been the case for many years.

I know but I used to think it was just my TV or something.

Richard and Judy: Keep Reading and Carry On a real example of what can work well in lockdown, and indeed how much they actually miss a show like Richard and Judy. It's what The Steph Show should be.
Also see C4 are still commissioning multiple Coronavirus documentaries - are they rating at all? I know I'm not the only one avoid such programmes like the.... well, plague!

Wednesdays at 9pm seems to their coronavirus doc day and they’re not rating particularly well anymore. The last two rated under 1m.
