I only caught bits of it but it was well produced and cast on the whole likeablerelateable people, something Big Brother lost at times.

Hopefully C4 keep the UK rights - is a danger that terrestrial channels are effectively piloting the future hits of Netflix etc.

Funny you should say that, Netflix are planning on bringing 3 international series out

I got the impression it was Big Brother plagued with the depressing quirks of social media, who has the most likes is the most popular, etc. Sounded terrible.

I really don't do reality shows, and yeah on paper the format doesn't sound great, but I really enjoyed it. Felt a lot like the first series of Big Brother where there was a genuine element of social experiment rather than the freak show it's become.

I was willing to give it a chance, watched the first episode and hadn’t watched anything so boring in my life, I’m glad that it picked up.

It was a popularity contest, with the winner of the £75k prize the person who turned out to be a liar who faked the whole thing.

'Ethical liar' Wink

I was ready to be negative about The Circle, however, it really did pick up and became addictive. It's like a 'bubble' reflection of society's current dependence on social media and how people can be deceptive. It actually was more interesting than the current series of Big Brother.

One of the most addictive TV shows in a long while. I really hope it does return to C4, but even if it doesn’t the format has won after being picked up internatonally within weeks!

My post wasn't a complete coincidence - just hope it isn't another C4 show Netflix end up getting credit for. I personally don't think reality TV really works on Netflix, though with a short run The Circle is relatively bingeable.

More4 are showing the Irish medical series Trauma: Ireland's Medical Emergency very soon. That series is produced by RTÉ in Ireland.

It looks like there might be potential for new presentation for Film4's 'Film Fear' season over Hallowe'en if the trailers are anything to go by:

Did anyone else notice the Channel 4 announcer say "Monday at 10 on Channel 5" after Sunday Brunch? Love a blooper

I’ve taken a terrible off the screen grab and posted it on Twitter https://twitter.com/fanoftv/status/1056640077256974341?s=21

I’m unsure if it’s ‘5’, though it sounds more 5 than 4.

It's definitely 'five'. You can hear the slight pause in her voice after she says it as she realises what she's said, but knows she just has to keep going.
