Real? Fake? I don't know but I did enjoy it and it was a nice programme.

The 08/09/10 11:12 thing was a interesting ending too. Maybe that is why is was billed as live. It's a shame it seemed to be running late though as the two time checks at the start and end of the show were a little off.

They just had a L'Oréal ad starring Davina during the BB eviction show break - have the Ofcom rules been relaxed or something?

That isn't the first time that's happen during Big Brother in the last few weeks. And ITV did something similar as well, possibly during The X Factor, last week. They must have relaxed the rules.

The rules were relaxed a few years ago.

"Live" rarely is 100% live nowadays - seems though they added the extra 10 minutes so they could end at 08.09.10 11:12. Fantastic show though - one of my favourites from Derren Brown I think.

The Garnier thing - surely they haven't relaxed the rules that much. One did slip into a BB live show last week too, but I think Davina only featured voicing the ad that time. When was the schedule changed for tonight - initially BB was to run 11.05-11.35pm, so not sure how ads are shuffled when schedules change but originally the 11.30pm break would have been intended to run after BB rather than during it. Still no excuse though if it's not supposed to air.

As for the "Best Bits" break. Was very odd but undeniably effective. The 4 x 5 second clips just replaced the usual 20 second promo, so no worries there on programme content. The only way rules might have been broken is the rest of the ad break running within BB style graphics - but then again Soccer Saturday have done that for years, so there is no rule to break I'd imagine.

I believe the rules were relaxed on 1st September, which is why you've only just started seeing them. Will take a bit of getting used to!

When the Cousins furniture store was used in Corrie it also appeared during the break (mainly showing the part of the store which had just been seen in Corrie)

What is this about? Did the rules used to say a programme containing a certain person cannot have an ad during the show featuring the same person?

Basically yes, to make it clear that the programmes and ads are separate.

There is a new end board on the trailer for "The Event" which starts in October on Channel 4:

Compard to the one that is on Channel 4's Website:

I know it is only a slight tweak, but the logo forms up differently by being shattered/split

I remember a while ago someone on here mentioned that some new idents had been filmed.

Probably just a special end board for the show, but I'm amazed really the white endboards and break bumpers etc. have lasted so long. Always expected the main idents too, but I thought the rest of the package would be refreshed after a couple of years or so.

Why fix something that ain't broke I guess. It's a simple design that complements the idents, can be easily adapted for special programmes/seasons and still looks relatively fresh, in my opinion. It just works.

Might as well wait for the next major rebrand; I'd rather they did that than risk a BBC2 change for change's sake job.
