He was, for quite some time, editor of The Guardian's G2 section - and was in the running to be editor after Alan Rusbridger's departure. I think his tenure on Newsnight is the sum total of his TV experience, so he isn't necessarily the first name that springs to mind to run a TV channel.

It seems Ch4 are now broadcasting Episodes of the simpsons after midnight this evening. Its not the Gun one nor the cannabis one, it just two random ones.

Sky One are showing two episodes at almost the same time. Sky's second episode overlaps with Ch4's first.

I completely missed this but it appears 4seven ran five episodes of Simpsons back to back on Saturday night. Is that the first time they've shown it on one of their other channels?

They're meant to avoid that. I guess Sky got caught out by C4's unusual timeslot.

I believe they were both shown during Sunday's Simpsons Day. The clown college episode certainly was.
