E4 have just very bizarrely cancelled Celebs Go Dating just before it was due to air, replacing it with Come Dine With Me. The announcer said nothing more than that they were unfortuantely unable to show it tonight. The movie on before had the DOG on screen promoting the show right to the end, and the EPG seems to have got stuck on the movie before.

Just to ask what's the policy of saying F word in A scottish Accent on Saturday morning on 4seven?
VM
I don't think Ofcom has guidelines that are that specific.

Under the current guidelines would it be allowed? or is this another split up like Jeremy kyle where no one doon south could understand it?

If you want to know where OfCom stand on it, put a complaint in to them and find out.

I would have thought f### at anytime before 9pm, regardless of how understandable the accent may or may not be, is a bit of a no-no.
So, put in a complaint and it will play out like this.
Channel 4 will apologise and argue that the number of children watching that channel at that time is minimal - ofcom will go 'rubbish' and find them in breach of offensive language.
Channel 4 will say they will put in stronger compliance checks and also remind staff about flagging up unsuitable content during daytime, blah blah, etc.
Hits the Ofcom broadcast bulletin, and matter closed and resolved.
.. Channel 4 giggle at such a weak slap on the wrist, and walk away. World continues to spin.

I'm surprised they missed that when their editors heard and cut out the most quietest of utterances of the word "bollocks" in a 1am screening of Grease 2. It's almost impossible to hear unless you know when and where to listen for it... and they did. (They also cut out a lot of content as if it was unsuitable yet this was a 1am screening!)
