Announcements from members of the community with a hashtag over the top. So no real surprises as it's pretty much the Channel 4 formula for these things now. A nice idea, although I do hope some of the announcements once we get to later in the day are a bit more tailored to the shows.
Phillip Adlem, the police officer who proposed during last year's parade provides one from earlier this morning.
I spotted on C4+1 last night it went fairly pixellated at the end of the Crystal Maze when they did that ending pan over the dome with the tokens flying everywhere. I couldn't say if this changed before they faffed around with the DOGs though.

It's just the cameras, Tom Scott has a good explanation here
I was just going off what I knew (and thought was right).
The cameras wouldn't produce blocky imaging (lots of angry faces in post-production, if that was the case), its what you do with the data to squeeze it down from such a high bitrate afterwards.
The 4 HD DOG has been changed too, ever so subtly. It's moved towards the centre of the picture and appears bolder than before. Here's some screenshots, both cropped to the very top left of the HD picture.

New:
The new DOG looks much better. The Channel 4 blocks are ever so slightly closer together and it looks so much better for it. It looks like the Channel 4 logo of old, rather than separate blocks forming the logo. This logo needs to be more prominent on screen now. The current idents needs to go, the current promotions endboards need to stay and idents similar to the 2015-2015 set need to be produced!!! Channel 4 need to shout about themselves and having random non formed blocks on screen is not the right way to do this!! Especially as they now show awesome shows such as The Crystal Maze, the GBBO, The Last Leg, Sunday Brunch and Ackley Bridge!
No sir, it's not the cameras. And the video you linked to is with regard to stripping video down to a point where you can watch it on your mobile without burning through an obscene amount of data in the process. Although digital TV is a similar principle (compression) it wasn't what I was referring to. But thank you anyway.
I was asking if the bandwidth/bitrate has been reduced as of late on +1 as that can produce the effect of looking blocky as illustrated in the video. Mind you W+1 has the same issue on occasion and it's usually on shows like Tipping Point where they have those animated backgrounds both behind the contestants and either side of the machine. The Chase uses them too for its scoreboard.
