All this talk of wood reminds me of that infamous story...
Quote:
A dark November night in Wales, 1993. Shortly after closedown, the duty manager at S4C (the Welsh Channel 4) starts to spool back the commercials from the preceding day's viewing, dumbly unaware that - for some reason - the station is still broadcasting. He whizzes listlessly through the tape until he reaches that old Natrel deodorant ad featuring a naked woman made out of wood. Utilising his technology, he freeze-frames a tasteful tit-shot. Nice. Having had a good look, he continues his spooling before it eventually dawns on him that the rest of Wales has been observing his handiwork. Transmission ends - as, presumably, does the duty manager's career.
[[Mod note: As amusing as it was a subsequent number of wood pun related posts have been felled as they were cauing a logjam in this thread.]]
At last, though to be fair the channel is in a much better state now than it was during the first few years of her reign.

The channel along with E4 are running promos for sure people go and vote, but there is NO switch off during the day. I hope E4 will push alot of promos during the day.

There are several cuts of this, but this is the longest I've seen so far: http://tig.gy/?ONCI5

As nice of a PR stunt as it was, some of the people I've come across who refuse to vote say it's because they're not being informed enough to make a decision on who to vote for. Turning off The Big Bang Theory isn't going to do much to sway them.

It's a shame there isn't election programmes on e4.

There is a wealth of information out there. Some people are too lazy to find out.
