Not hugely surprising considering it's been bounced around the schedules a bit and C4 now seem to favour The Last Leg but Alan Carr's Chatty Man has been axed, with competing for guests being the given reason.
However Alan Carr will front a new show in the 8pm hour on Friday nights called Alan Carr's Happy Hour with more focus on sketches, stunts and games - he's basically taking the TFI slot.

I honestly thought Jonathan Ross would go before Alan did. Happy Hour sounds like a "serialised" Specstacular. Whether that's a good thing or not is another question.

Were there not reports that The Jonathan Ross Show had indeed been axed by ITV, indeed citing similar reasons that Graham Norton got the better guests?
There was indeed speculation in the summer that this current series would be the last however ITV confirmed that it will return next year but in Autumn 2017 with no series in early 2017 instead Ross is taking a break in America. On another note Ross himself said a few years ago that Graham Norton got better guests.

Apparently Channel 4 have built a robot duplicate of Humans actress Gemma Chan to promote season 2.

I was just looking on Wikipedia and saw that despite being on different networks they are both produced by ITV. Couldn't ITV "spread" the guests around both shows or guests more / less choosing Graham?

I imagine Graham Norton has built a good enough reputation that the big stars are more keen to appear on his show.
