The Financial Times (which is usually very reliable in terms of accuracy) is reporting that privatising Channel 4 is back on the agenda:

Well there's some evidence that The Sun's mention of a rebrand last month might be true then.

Yeah I've just completed that. One of the questions read along the lines of 'do you agree that the All 4 logo would represent the company well'.
Part of me was thinking that it would work better as the company logo than just All 4. I understand the logo idea but scrapping the 4oD brand in favour of it would not have been a choice of mine.

After completing the survey, it does seem very All 4 focused up until it asks about using it as Channel 4's corporate logo.

Thanks for that everybody. I decided to join Core4, to see if I can complete the survey too.

I've signed up to Core4 also, and was given one survey about travel/moving abroad. Nothing about the corporate look, but I imagine that might be e-mailed rather than on the site in general.

A 'shortened' version has always occasionally been used as far as I remember.

I've not seen the long one for years now.

C4 seem to be increasingly showing their own trailers in the middle of advert breaks. ITV experimented with it a few years ago but it didn't last long though I can get why it makes sense - tricks viewers into thinking the show is coming up and probably makes the ad slots in the latter half of the break slightly more valuable.

And in other news (via Bothers Bar) it seems they've finally realised that Deal or No Deal needs to be axed. It's been underperforming for years in daytime (and unlike Countdown is shelling out tens of thousands in primetime), and has actually been off air a few weeks without anyone really noticing, it's first lengthy break since the early seasons. It is currently renewed through to next summer, so it's 10th birthday will likely be it's last.

Maybe if they livened Deal or No Deal up a bit it might do well. When I was in Australia last year the show was fast paced, upbeat and fun and completed within half an hour. There were no over the top X Factor sob stories either.
