It wasn't for the first two series, but I don't think she used the catchphrase until the surprise eviction on the eve of the BB2 final, and then again for the surprise week 1 eviction for BB3. It then kind of stuck, but IIRC after the first week the BB3 eviction announcements were all on a delay, so apart from those two occasions I think all pre-watershed evictions have been on a delayed - except for one final where they then got in trouble and promised never to risk it again.
If it's less than a 15 minute delay it technically is still live.
How ridiculous. Something is either live or recorded. When did the English language change to make 'live' refer to something that happened 15 minutes ago?
Isn't the "please do not swear" phrase still used so that it's easier for the editors to censor the daytime repeat the next day and for 4oD? If there's less swear words in the non pre-recorded bits then I assume it's much quicker for them to edit and get finished.

When OFCOM said it did! I find it absolutely ridiculous though how "live" shows here have such lengthy delays, whilst in the US where an uncensored profanity on network TV would be considered a much bigger issue they manage to usually use just a seven second delay.

Still a stupid catchphrase though, and not one HMs particularly take any notice of. Most eviction announcements usually end with a few expletives upon the result.
T4 On The Beach seems to be having a few sound problems. There was a lot of feedback during one performance (Kelis?) and a lot of timing issues.
Does anybody know if this is live live or comes with a short delay?
The subtitles are 'live' for certain aspects (ie when the presenters talk) but when performances are on they're the pre-typed bits. How is this done without a TCR embedded?

There is a difference between recorded and delayed - recorded is when something is recorded in full and then played back, delayed is when it's going out at the same time as being recorded.
Live is live but then would you not call a radio phone-in that's been delayed by 10 seconds live?

When I was there a few years ago, the music started a few hours before the broadcast, each artist would do 3 or 4 tracks, and the presenters would pop out every now and then for a link. To my knowledge they just show 1 or 2 performances from each act, and drop the pre-recorded links and features in every now and then; (note some of the performance noise in the background of the presenter links is of performances yet to be played).
I'd assume its all vision/sound mixed 'as live' with not much change to tweak it after, except basic cutting of performances to pre-recorded links.
I wasn't keen on the sound mix, a lot of the vocals seemed to not 'sit' properly. The timing thing, especially with Basshunter... isn't this just a latency issue that can arise with this size of event?

Probably a bit like Eurovision and other music shows. If you know the song lyrics you can pre-type them and trigger them pretty accurately live, whilst the links are likely to be adlibbed and thus generated live using either steno- or re-speak type technology.
UKTV and Channel 4 have reached agreement for Channel 4 Sales to become the exclusive advertising representative for the UKTV portfolio.
Under the terms of the 10-year agreement, Channel 4 Sales will represent UKTV as its sole advertising sales agent across its full portfolio of services including 10 linear channels, VOD services and websites replacing Virgin Media-owned IDS.
Seems there is a new voiceover for the promotions on E4. Slightly more laid back than Dickinson.
That's probably due to the fact the he wasn't very happy with E4 trying to poorly immitate him for a set of BB ads, when he's usually who does it for them anyway. Which is quite bad/cheap really.

Despite the fact his style is a poor imitation of the late Patrick Allen in the first place...
