Channel 4

Having seen the trailer; I really like it. There's part of me that feels that the look could be evolved this way in the future.

Garbled sound on the Simpsons on Freeview HD, while SD is fine, just like last week.

No sound at all on Channel 4 HD on Sky for me.

Simpsons day is coming this Friday on Ch4

Hallowe'en episodes all week in the run up to Friday as well.

Simpsons Day is this Sunday from 12:30pm.

This is to celebrate 10 years of The Simpsons being on Channel 4 on Wednesday. It hardly feels like it was ever on the BBC now!

Oh and it is Channel 4's 32nd birthday as well on Sunday, why not celebrate by showing nearly 6 hours worth of The Simpsons.

Thanks to Ch4 its treated the series a bit better than the BBC ever did. Mind you its still making AWFUL edits. Why cant it have late night repeats with no cuts? Maybe not all episodess but Im sure it could push out a few over short period.

What gets me is they make edits that Sky don't. Sky have shown a Hallowe'en special where Groundskeeper Willie was repeatedly being hit in the back with an axe, but Channel 4 either cut before he fell to the floor or cropped when Maggie appeared behind him as he fell. It's hardly graphic, and I don't see how an edgy channel like Channel 4 are so hesitant to show it. Sky, however, happily showed the episode in full at around 7pm.

I remember back in the day sky made those same type of cuts....
