They only seem to stick them in films so they can split the film into more parts and air more ads. Wouldn't want to see that on E4 - it's unashamedly an entertainment channel and I think that's the way it should stay regardless of what happens with BBC3. If anything restoring news to More4 should be a priority, even if it's just a summary around 6pm and 9pm.

The idea of news within the breaks of 4oD programmes is pretty dumb too - ads are bad enough without extra filler - people watching on demand generally just want the show. Some kind of news service within the 4oD portal on connected TV would be good though.

Fleshing out More4 and giving it a better purpose would be nice too. It's not promoted much and seems to be filled with repeats most of the day up to primetime, something which 4seven should have taken over.

Well almost all digital channels are repeats through to primetime, then it's usually only one or two new programmes a week. I do think More4 could make better use of their drama though - was rather frustrating when Shameless USA was bumped from it's already late 11.05pm slot to an hour later to make way for repeats of Embarrassing Bodies I think.

I htnk 4Seven does well enough but it's doing nothing that couldn't be done on the other channels. Most C4 primetime shows get a repeat on C4 nowadays anyway, while they can easily find gaps in the More4 and E4 schedule to repeat flagship content. On the other hand if it's sticking around 4Seven would benefit from also repeating content from More4 and E4.

Has anybody else signed up for the feedback thing they're currently advertising?

I wanted to give it a go, but I haven't seen the ad since. Does anybody have a link?

The subtitles on Channel 4 are all to cock. I think the subtitles are for the correct programme but the wrong part or wrong edit.

EDIT: Looks like there was an extra scene added to the programme that was not subtitled. This meant that the subtitles ended up about 30 seconds or so in front of the audio for the remainder of that part of the programme. There was no mention of the problem at the end of the programme. The CA just chatted about horse racing.

Although if the announcer had apologised at the end of the programme, the part of the audience the subtitles are for wouldn't have heard it.

The BBC used to (they still might) have subtitle apology captions to replace duff or non existent subtitles.

Earlier I saw one of those Born Risky bumpers in front of a Celebrity 15 to 1 trailer and wondered if anyone at Channel 4 saw the irony in that.

Anyone else notice the Eyeball as the break bumper?

Certainly doesn't look like a typical bumper.
