The way Channel 4 proclaims itself to be "born risky" saddens me. I doubt any athlete gives a damn about their good luck wishes. If anything Channel 4 is itself reinforcing crass stereotypes and trivialising a very serious issue.
Oh dear. They got it so right last night with one of the best documentaries in years - and then the next day release this which just completely belittles the seriousness of it all and actual reinforces the sort of outdated stereotypes which leads to such laws in the first place, as well as somewhat belittling the thousands of athletes out there.
I'm gay, and a masculine one at that. However, the rainbow flag, rightly or wrongly is associated with the LGBT community right across the world and I applaud channel 4 for their efforts. It's a symbolic two finger gesture to the Russian government and after viewing the sickening documentary the other night, I'm all for that.

Why does it have to say Born Risky? Why would it be risky? I just get the feeling its been misjudged unless it suppose to over the top, as you say Manclad to stick it up to the Russian government?
