I see there are to be more changes at Teletext.

The "Ace" and "It's Your Life" sections are closing.... soon it will just be a classified ads service.

Changes happen on July 13th.

Two more reasons not to turn to Teletext now, soon there will be nothing left

Both these sections are pretty pointless anyhow!

It's all about streamlining it for Digital Teletext - and IMO Teletext on Freeview easily outshines the clunky BBCi!

Teletext on Freeview is painfully slow and thus virtually unusable on my Freeview Box, but this seems to be an issue with the box as a whole with Teletext, rather than a one off with my particular one - no problems with BBCi.

I was about to say the exact same thing, Teletext is awful to use on my freeview box, yet BBCi is very quick and very easy to use and navigate around.

I've always found BBCi to be vastly superior to DTTxt - only because it doesn't have those childish big coloured buttons and rounded writing not dissimilar to comic sans next to them - as well as a garish yellow and blue colour scheme which may work on 6-colour "analogue" teletext but not on 256-colour digital teletext.

I love Ace, why dump it in favour of making planet sound bigger? Soon probably Gamecentral (the best gaming service ever invented ever imop) will close down too even though 12m people read it every year

(At risk of going off topic)

No, Gamecentral has new writers.
