I've just looked at the listings for next week on Sky Guide up until Monday 7pm (as far as it will go) and noticed that ITN have changed the names of their news programs to include the presenter's name as well. Next Monday afternoon they are called:
12pm - ITN News with Alison Bell
1pm - ITN News with Alison Bell
2pm - ITN News with Leyla Daybelge
3pm - ITN News with Leyla Daybelge
4pm - ITN News
5pm - ITN News with Leyla Daybelge
6pm - ITN News with Leyla Daybelge
Also in the morning, John Suchet and Julia Somerville aren't listed as the presenters. So, what's going on? Alison and Leyla have never been deemed worthy enough to have their name in the program title before, so maybe ITN are planning to take on Sky News and News 24 by making the channel more familiar with regular presenters. Maybe they're planning more than a reshuffle of the presenters? After all, they're not doing brilliantly in the ratings compared to Sky and News 24. I noticed a new version of the ITN music on their advert for election night before, so maybe they've been playing around with the music department?
All very exciting, I'm sure you'll agree (or not probably).
