No, I think NBC used its regular set for the election coverage, just that it was shown at a different angle.

I remember seeing the coverage on CBS. There was an odd hand pointing at a map on a monitor. That hand would point at whichever state Dan Rather was talking about. It wasn't until later on that I realized that was Dan Rather's hand,  and it was the monitor on the desk. Razz:

Yeah, the US networks didn't bother to build a different set. Sad

Well, back to CNN HN. Whatever they do to it, please change the graphics, particularly the 'aston'! (if you can call it that)

I've never seen any website with screengrabs from any of the American news networks. I will be getting my TV Card late this year (hopefully - I have Mac OS X and none of the drivers for all Mac tv cards are compatible)

I promise that I'll somehow get my own website and I'll have a whole bunch of American news presentation - I've already started taping stuff from teh TV.

Just saw the first promo for the new-look Headline News. The studio is gorgeous! The desk is amazing. They have a much more modern looking logo and from what I saw of the graphics, they look great. I can't wait!

Just saw a promo for a new-look 'Late Edition' for this Sunday. Thank God once again, they desperately needed a revamp.

Apparently they're 'changing everything but the name'! http://www.cnn.com/HLN has a couple of video clips, including some (brief) glimpses of the new studio - looks very nice. Not sure what all the stuff about '4 anchors in the studio at any time' is all about, though - 2 news anchors, sport anchor, business anchor maybe?

Looks like CNN are well and truly up for some revamping at the moment - all to do with the new management, by the sounds of it. I really hope that CNNI is the next network to get a sexy new look!

Thanks for the link! I really can't wait for the new-look.

I think they should have changed the name. Headline News sounds…dorky. I think they should just have kept it's original name CNN2.

CNN is much better -- over the past few months it's really improved itself. I've been watching more and more of it

I think they should call it 'CNN Express', or something similarly fast-paced! If they're going to modernise, why not go the whole way and change everything - including the name?

NBC Nightly News studio is VERY small - I was in it earlier in the week.

You might be also interested to know that Brokaw watches Rather & Jennings while his show is on & will follow their running order. If he wants a package moved/removed/added, HE will call for an ad break.

Tonight Show is relaunching on Monday, they'll been showing repeats all week.
