It's Matt Edmondson (who obviously looks up to the likes of Simon Amstell for his inspiration, he's hosting a sarcastic awards show here)
Funny that they have a proper set for a Red button service, but crappy CSO for CBBC1

But (and I repeat) I thought he'd left?

He's a freelancer now.

Thank you. I now notice that on Wikipedia he's down as the CBBC Extra presenter.

I just spotted ,this article on BBC News, saying that the proposed CBBC relaunch, and therefore, I presume CBeebies relaunch will occur this autumn. I think CBBC in in need of this, and that although I like the CBeebies package and younger children do, it's probably time for a refresh.

I wonder if they have tendered the contract yet. I hope that they consider Lambie-Nairn considering their record at CBBC:

and not go straight to Red Bee considering this:

Although not bad, I think these just lack something that all of the other have.

I still think they should farm out CITV pres to one of the nations with a real continuity suite and bring back the broomcupboard... but it will never happen

Although they are nice idents, I really don't think they're suited to CBBC at all. I don't think they'd look out of place on a service for teenagers really.

Doubt they will be going back to Red Bee considering the current set will only have lasted 2 years if they're scrapped in Autumn. All the others lasted much longer than this set.

What do you think of this proposed CBBC World thing - a kid safe version of Second Life?

Great news about the relaunch. As I've said, its in desperate need of one.

But I only hope that they don't fall into the trap of going to Red Bee. Their work is quite poor considering their rivals. They were quite good as BBC Broadcast. What's happened?

And I hope they lose this rubbish virtual studio. The worst idea they've had in recent years.

Actually, the Hive produced the video of those idents. Red Bee cam up with the idea, but the Hive made it.

Slightly off topic but I love going onto the ITV1 section on the RED BEE website.
They seem to think there Jan-Nov06 idents were 'successful' and describe them as a 'second phase' rather than a complete overall of the cr#p they produced. If they were so good why did ITV scrap them after less than a year? Good old RED BEE...

They are obviously not very learned in the field of logic.

Does anyone know what is going to replace TMi when it finishes on February 3rd?

This set was only ever meant to be temorary for 6 months at the most. It was when Alison Sharmon came in and wanted the bugs to go pretty much straight away. Anyway, she left and the "proper" relaunch delayed by a year or two...
