Does anyone remember the name of a CBBC Channel presenter called Andrew Mc something? He only used to be on the CBBC Channel and was on around Easter time, I think. He was Scottish, if I remember correctly. Thanks

The one who ended up on Milkshake! on five not long after?

I'm not sure if he then appeared on five, as I don't watch Milkshake. Just looked on their website, but I can't see a presenters page. What's the surname of Andrew on Milkshake? Thanks

It looks like they're not using a blue screen today.

I agree no blue screen, and Andrew McEwan was on five life doing milkshake this morning. CBBC is in TC9! but, it is all Christmassy. The CBBC Channel is still using a blue screen.

Does it look like the old TC10 set but all done up for Christmas? Or have they bought in parts of the TC9 set or just no old elements at all?

Do you think it's all a big turnaround (as in they've had complaints or have seen that it's not working with blue screen) or would it have been part of the plans so they used the blue screen as a temp set.

Surely it wouldn't take much if they had two presenters on BBC One and CBBC Channel afterwards, and just had them pre recording the links for the daily hours, though surely thats what we had before.

Wouldn't there be a simple solution to time all of the programmes so that BBC One & the channel have programmes at the same time so that they could just say stay tuned or turn over, etc.

What is it with the weird tree object things in the set that CBBC now seem to love? They don't go with the rest of the set at all.

I only saw one of the links yesterday, but knowing CBBC well, like I do, I would have said that a turnaround would be very unlikely. However, it looked like it was only being filmed on one handheld camera rather than the usual 3/4 that were previously used. It wouldn't be too much effort to do this for the Christmas hols, especially so soon after the previous set was finished with...

It does look miles better, and surely costs roughly the same as a locked-off camera and a CSO.
I spotted a plasma in the background of a link this afternoon too...

Yes, I would imagine it does cost the same.

Lights - needed to light CSO background and subject, used in live studio.
Camera - one for CSO, maximum 2 for this studio setup.
Graphics - less needed for studio than CSO, so balances out with cameras.
Presenter - one for CSO, one for studio
Gallery crew - 1/2 needed for CSO, and rest of crew. For studio, only the "rest of crew" needed.
