Just caught a couple of links and yep, the broomcupboard is back! Problem this time is you've got an almost full length Gemma shot, unlike the closer-to-you top half. Also, as it's a virtual world there's nothing for her to do with her arms - not like the old days of pressing buttons to put pictures up or showing them to the camera or interacting with a sidekick. And who knows what will happen if the whole thing breaks down.

It just seems cold and distant but hey, I'm over 10 years too old Very Happy

Jackanory's makeover looks good though - visually very impressive.

Not too keen on this new look, it looks awful.

Just a quick question: does CBBC1 only have one presenter now?

Well the website still shows angelica and simon as current presenters, but surely there must be another presenter as they had a big clan of them.

BRING IT BACK! This new thingy is horrible - I was under the impression this was just something temporary whilst they rebranded or something but it's awful. No no no. Bad choice, BBC, bad choice indeed.

Seeing as this seems to be the most recent CBBC thread floating around, thought it's worth a mention that although CBBC continuity seems to have gone to the dogs, it's Saturday morning show TMi will be on every morning of Christmas week - should be good Smile

On the CBBC Channel Anne Foy presents weekdays, so I guess if Gemma is ill she would do CBBC one.

Well, it's the broomcupboard in so much as it's one presenter with a locked off shot, but done in a crappy way. The charm of the original broomcupboard was that the presenter was operating the desk, which meant that there was more scope to be spontaneous, as well as giving a bit of insight into how telly works.

I reckon one of the nations should pitch the idea of CBBC going back to a continuity booth, since nations have such things.

I doubt the likes of Anne Foy would be able to press buttons at the same time as talking

Some of the other presenters would, but it seems they've all been axed

The little keyboard continued after the broom cupboard. I remember when the presenter was cueing a graphic, the screen went completely black, and he said "Oops, sorry, I've pressed the wrong button!"

I think it finally went when Studio 9 came in.
