They're trailing New 8 Simple Rules a lot today.
Today Ellen's being shown back to back all day.

Nice little Easter update on the logo though:

Nice touch. It's nice to know people actually work there - it's the kind of channel that feels like its just played out by a computer 24/7, with no actual people behind the scenes!

Unlikely me thinks.

We knew that ABC1 wouldn't have ads at programme junctions - and Digital Spy has now confirmed they will have two ad breaks per half hour programme.

It be interesting to see how they do this - I think having one break after the titles, the next at the mid-point then using the slot near the end of the programme for promos would probably be best.

For the ads it's more than likely they will use the structure they have now, only difference is that they will have real Adverts.

Anyone else notice today that they weren't using the proper idents? This morning I happened to catch the end of an episode of 8 Simple Rules, a few minutes before the end you get 'Next, Then and Later', in that they only showed a brief clip of the next episode of 8SR, then when they came to the end of the programme, we got the exact same thing, except it had 'Now'.

I wonder if that is a sign of things to come.

BTW the 2nd Series of 8SR is nowhere near as good as the 1st, it's still funny in parts, but it's just not as good without John Ritter.

I'd also like to wonder who chooses to play out episodes of 8SR, there was a S1 episode on abc1 at 1.05pm sometime last week (It was the episode where the family go on Holiday to Florida) but was also shown again on The Disney Channel tonight, who have technically gone back to showing S2 again, after 'Goodbye' which hasn't been shown.

I doubt ABC1 will screen 'Goodbye' that often (tbh it's not something you'd want to see every week - very depressing!) so if you want to see it make sure you catch it next week.

The schedule is now structured on half-hours, but no ads yet - just very long promo slots.

They are also screening "teaser" 10 minute episodes of Once and Again at 9.30pm and 2pm.
