One of the funniest episodes of the show that. I get why Ferguson played on the cheapness of his show, because it always got great laughs. I bet he secretly loved it every time they had a power cut Very Happy

Another one that sticks in my mind is when he accidentally broke the autocue glass on the camera Very Happy

They call that no budget? Here, a no budget chat show would be presented from the broom cupboard Razz

Look at the old shows like the two above videos. I was lucky enough to visit both studios, the older shows being done in Studio 58. Studio 58 was TINY, so much so that they had to move the chairs and desk out of the shot just so Craig had room to do his monologue. Studio 58 was used because Tom Snyder originally did the show there, and his show was just him and the guest and no audience, so you can just imagine how small it actually is.

No need to imagine:

For those who can't see the image, the dimensions are 52 ft x 39 ft (3419 sq ft), with the height to the grid being 15 ft.

more details ……..

That floor area sounds the same order of magnitude as TCs 2,5 & 7 at TV Centre or Studio B at NBH, but with a lower grid height.

I take it Studio 58 was used by Craig Kilborn too before Craig Ferguson took over?

Yep. And then by Kathy Griffin after Ferguson left.

So, I lied earlier. TLLS has over to Stage 46 while James Corden builds his new set upstairs in Stage 56.

It's bright.
It's not the best font choice, and the white lettering appears to not line up with the black because of the colour choices.

It just plain looks cheap. Honestly, CBS, at least use a bespoke font, not one that's installed on every computer running Windows!
