Why are so many people in here fixated with logos and graphics?

Call me old fashioned but I turn on the tv to watch the programme. Logos before a programme and jumping bugs are not that important in the grand scheme of things.

Spend the money on the programmes and let the quality of the programme do the talking.

Don't see much of Children's BBC but I have to say that Rule the School is a great wee concept. Good clean fun!

Cat Forum talks about cats, Welding Forum talks about industrial welding, TV Forum talks about logos and graphics. We're odd like that. It even says on the front page "Welcome to the TV Home Forum, discussing television presentation and related topics"

Indeed. I also believe there are forums where people discuss association football!

However aren't there other things in tv land that money could be invested in? Do logos and graphics matter?

You don't seem to get the point. The subject of the forum is graphics and logos and the like. Hence why people who come on here and say "Why are you talkin about graphics and logos and the like?" are usually assumed to be missing a trick.

No, I am aware of much of the content. I DO KNOW that is what this forum is about.

However it still begs the question, are such things worth the money. I mean there are plenty of programmes. It would be very interesting to know how much tv companies spend on image makeovers and the like.

On another thread it quoted a paper (Daily Mail?) who reported that the BBC allegedly spent £700k on the wheelchair/skateboarding idents.

All I am saying is this - are there not other and more worthwhile ways to spend, in the case of the BBC, the nations licence fee?

Well instead of telling members of a presentation forum they are fixated with presentation, why not add your views to the discussion in the thread about whether presentation matters?
