Not because of the fact that it's actually doing what it's supposed to do and is at last broadcasting some challenging, interesting and controversial
proper
documentaries.
For ten solid years, every third front page has been some tittle-tattle about hearsay about Diana, then they have the nerve to be up in arms when C4 makes a documentary on the subject.
I won't be watching, because frankly I couldn't care less about the Royal Family one way or t'other, but will back up C4's right 100% to be able to show images that may offend half a dozen blue-rinsers as part of investigative journalism.
Now if the programme is sensationalist, then C4 ought to be as ashamed of themselves as the papers, but that is still no reason to ban anything.

Exactly - completly agree with you.
I find the whole thing all quite ironic really - what happened in the BB house back in January is now what the media are doing in relation to C4 - pure and simple bullying, picking over every possible mistake it might be making.
Hope everyone's got their letters to OFCOM ready - you've got 45,000 to beat now!
I suggest that we all boycot BB if Chan 4 shows Dead Diana Pics.
If Chan 4 ignores the view of the family involved and shows car crash victim pictures WITHOUT the concent of the familly involved then we should boycot BB.
Why give them money for our opinion when they ignore direct requests not to explot the death of victims of a fatal car crash ?

If I was Ofcom I'd say they could show them on two conditions:
A.It's shown at midnight at the earliest.
B.There's a warning before it that says "If you really do want to watch this, which I wouldn't,then barricade yourself in the room so no-one else comes in."
The point is though, that people who have seen this doc already say that the subject matter has been dealt with in a tasteful manner.
If that is the case, then I see no problem whatsoever with showing the programme at the time they are planning.
If the programme does turn out to be unsuitable for airing at 9pm, that is a matter between Channel 4 and OFCOM -- frankly it's no-one else's business until C4 have commited any breach of the broadcasting code that it may cover.
I for one trust Channel 4 to show proper respect and restraint on this issue. There is only one programme producer out there currently that I'm not so sure about, and rather ironically it's the producer of the programme that's being proposed to be boycotted here.
I'm boycotting Big Brother until they put some hot men in.
Right now it is skank central and I can smell fish through my television screen.
I just want it on record that I'm not boycotting because of this troll.
I feel the exact same. I usually only ever watch it for the men anyway.
Me too. Ive missed all of Big Brother 8 so far as ive been in Spain but im not going to watch now im back as a) from what ive read in the papers it sounds boring b) there are no hot men.
