The IPP is a shoddy copy of the original too, rendered at least twice the size of the LivingTVGroup one - interferes with the DOG too (which is also larger and otherwise different to the previous one).

Do you mean to say this design is now even larger, even uglier than before? Does any of the picture remain when it appears? Laughing

That looks positively tidy compared to their current effort. They've clearly not used clean elements of the theme; in fact some of it looks like poor recreations (the DOG and IPP) and the rest looks like dirty off-air recordings.

The idents proper are also crushed and cropped.

The monthly PPV events - starring the likes of Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair and Kurt Angle - will be broadcast on Wednesdays, starting with Against All Odds on February 16.

Sounds about right, promote a TNA product by mentioning ex-WWE talent. Laughing

God knows why ric flair didn't retire when he did at the raw after wrestlemania at his retirement raw show have u seen him he practicly looks like an old man hes done had his day or was the retirement a hoax to get outta wwe contract to get into tna same thing as victoria she retired in wwe came back in tna.kurt angle left wrestling in wwe to pursue other intrest but again ended in tna.

I watched about 30 seconds of it last night just to re-familiarise myself with it. It's completely pathetic.

Challenge TV is pretty awful now, no where near as good as say 1995 when it revamped from the then Family Channel.

Tell me about it. There's been some Richard Arnold rubbish on most of today.

Take it or Leave It is fun until you realise it's just an hour of "True of False" with an arbitrary bit of random selection.

It costs them (pretty much) bugger all to do though since it is Copyrighted to Flextech/VMTV/LTVG/BSkyB.

It's the same for pretty much everything else on Challenge, I remember hearing a radio interview with Gordon Burns several years ago and he basically said that he didn't get any repeat fees for The Krypton Factor as no-one knew that the shows would be repeated in years to come. So I guess that policy has been carried on since, especially as they show the same Family Fortunes, Catchphrase and Bullseye on loop, as well as their own programmes, including their version of Bullseye.

Some of the content they buy on a ' x number of airings" basis. Some of it they buy for ' x amount of time'. EDIT: I think that's the case anyway, I seem to remember the 'Guru' on the Challenge forums explaining it that way.

Their copyrighted stuff is theirs, and unless Richard Arnold gets a repeat fee I doubt that has any direct cost to them at all.

Wasn't The Family Channel originally set up by the company that bought out TVS (before they themselves were swallowed by Disney)? Hence originally just showing TVS programming?

I think basically The Family Channel was set up by it's US parents and what was left of the TVS archive was bought by The Family Channel, which is now Disney. Family did use TVS's studios at Maidstone that is for sure.

I was really looking forward to Challenge coming to Freeview;

I remember watching this channel back as a kid/teenager and watching shows like, The Adventure Game, Blankety Blank, Crystal Maze, Fort Boyard, Going For Gold, Knightmare, Murder Game & Interceptor etc...

I was looking forward to watching these all again and some other shows but I've been really disappointed with the content and schedule, its really piss poor to be frank.

Not even giving the channel a new logo shows how important the channel is in Sky HQ
