Who knows; perhaps there was some legal reason the show inbetween could not be aired.
We didn't seem to miss any contestants by not seeing this episode so unless there was a legal problem with a question then I'd bet on either a mistake or a technical (perhaps quality issue) with the missing episode.
I take it that girl from Inverkeithing high school,( form the 4.30pm) bet the 2 boys from the 4pm epsoides?
I think she must have done, assuming only one episode was missed of course. I've lost track of what 'day' we are on. Would the missing episode have been a Friday episode and therefore include the hand jive at the end? Is it possible that someone from the audience got their bum out during this and it wasn't noticed on the original broadcast?
At least today episode is linked to last night at 4.30pm: Inverkeithing girl on the 3rd gold run: she did it with pure Seconds!

I just heard the library version being used: while bob talking about past contestants!

Indeed, which I have on 7" vinyl
Out of genuine interest, I wonder what the ratings will be for this run? Would it persuade them to put it on at primetime (6pm/7pm) so that when I'm back in work I don't miss it?

I'll rip the vinyl one day.
What does the library version sound like? Much like the normal theme?

Was this the theme that was also used on the first sky one series with Bob?

Someone said it was, but I have my doubts, I believe the normal version was still used for the sky version especial as production started just after ITV axed the show:
There still some unknown knowledge if Central and Anglia really did have a local version of the show from Sept 93 - March 94? before sky version started in April 94 - Sept 95:
( interesting fact, Anglia, central , TT, and yorkshire all broadcast the sky one episodes)
