Is anybody starting to get annoyed with the pre-recorded CA coming in too early and then restarting?

I'm more annoyed when it doesn't happen. I've got used to it and listen out for it towards the end of programmes.

It will only be a matter of time before they play the voice over over this. That may put a stop to it.

I'm really enjoying Blockbusters repeats.

It's such a good format. A good range of questions (both in genre and difficulty) and a chance to meet the contestants without destroying the flow of the show or padding it out to a ridiculous extent.

It's true enough that nobody could do it like Bob again, but as a format it's overdue another go.

They've actually already done that (around a couple of weeks ago, and IIRC, the voiceover started either before or during the dedication message).

As of yet, it appears not. However, the 'Guru' on the old forums suggested that a number of programmes which are on air now (Bob Monkhouse's Wipeout, Blockbusters, The Krypton Factor) were not programmes they had up-to-date rights to air, so Sky are clearly at least renewing some programming. I hope they get some earlier series.

The way they buy/bought content is really weird. For instance, as of last year, they only had rights to air the first half of one series of Fifteen-to-One. It's as if Regent or whoever threw in half a series as bait for a further purchase.

Watched Blockbusters today for the first time. Blockbusters has a very catchy theme tune indeed... went to YouTube just to play it again! Ha. The contestants are a bit smug though, I bet they're cringing now.

I dare say most of us would be rather happy if Challenge at least just aired Full series 10 ( 180 episode) it would take a good while to show them, then there could move on to the 1994 Sky one version.

Rights issues also caused 1997 run of Chain letter to be held up for ages

Interesting that tonight's episodes of Play Your Cards Right have different credits, some have the standard plain screen credits, some have the smokey hearts. Presumably this series originally aired across the Oct' 02 changeover.

I noticed this - the first episode tonight had the plain blue screen credits - the other had the sidebar to the right and the hearts background. Which means they are not being shown in the right order? Challenge have changed the programme schedule tonight as Crystal Maze Christmas special was due to be aired at 9.00pm in the original listings published - it is now on at Midnight. Is this cos of Bruce Forsyth's recent knighthood??
