Was watching an episode of Bob Monkhouse's Wipeout today - didn't know it was in widescreen, or that the set was blue! Wasn't it shades of orange?

I caught one today too, thought the set was a little strange. Was it the woman with the types of seaweed at the end?

Did anybody see the problems Challenge had this afternoon before Bullseye at 5.30pm? They showed Ninja Warrior trailer, only for pre-recorded announcer to kick in too early.
It went:
Trailer: "The world's toughest gameshow!"
CA: "With Bob Monkhouse"

I hope you remembered to turn over to Challenge+1 at 17:28 and capture this for historical record?

I think you mean 18.30? No sorry didn't capture it.

Yes, it was. Maybe a pilot?

The last series or two had a blue set rather than the garish orange one of previous years.

Another mistimed voice over on Challenge this evening. The CA started speaking over the last clip in Auntie's Bloomers (or some variation on that title) and before the VO had finished the credits started and the VO was triggered again from the start.

It was possibly the wrong VO anyway, it was referring to a clip from Grange Hill that I don't think appeared in that episode of Auntie's Bloomers.

EDIT: The EPG promised a Christmas edition of Auntie's Bloomers tonight. The episode shown was actually 'The best of...' but the VO at the end still told us how he loved the clip of Jim Davidson flying in to a Christmas tree. This clip obviously wasn't shown during this episode.

6 months and 22 days to go according to the CA too. I haven'y checked to see if that is correct.

Krypton Factor returns to Challenge at 7pm tonight. Anyone know what series they're showing?

I wonder if Endemol/Channel 4 are going to start making old Deal or No Deal's available to other broadcasters soon?

I think it would be great if Challenge showed Deal or No Deal Gold at 6pm showing games from that day in years gone by, could start with first episode on the 31st October.

You could have a pretty strong couple of hours if they picked up the Weakest Link maybe even made their own series with a different presenter and showed it at 5pm.

Lily Savage's Blankety Blank was an episode from one of the Thames series today, but probably from the middle of the 2001 series as some of the things Lily said suggested it wasn't the first i.e. "We've had a lot of people from Birmingham on lately." Lily was dressed in a Leicester City football strip and then LC player Robbie Savage was one of the celebrities which he talked about here: http://www.lcfc.com/page/LatestNews/0,,10274~130467,00.html (date incorrect on that page).

And The Crystal Maze Christmas Specials are finally being shown on Freeview every Sunday at 9.00pm!! The 1990 and 1991 specials of which I have never seen. Should be good.

Just watching a Cruise Ship themed 3-2-1. Stan Boardman, Mike Osman impersonating Jack Duckworth, Su Pollard, men in shoulder pads! Looks very dated now.

That wasn't Su Pollard. That was Jessica Martin doing Su Pollard (obviously a bit too well).

It was nice to hear Stan Boardman talking about the Germans, the contestants turning down a sunbed and trip to New York to see the World Trade Center. Of course, 30 years on and Dustbin is still better than Hare from Don't Scare the aforementioned.

Yorkshire TV front and endcaps too, with not a modern distributors endcap to be seen.

Are Challenge editing the shows at all? I saw a couple of weird edits but I don't know if they are modern edits or from the original programme. They have removed the viewers competition, which is a shame and seems quite pointless as it was a write-in competition anyway.
