I think there could be a rebrand on the way. Especially now since it has a sky logo on the site.

I don't. They probably just have the name to protect it and as they have it they thought it makes sense to redirect It to the Challenge website.

The rebrand of Sky 3 was an obvious attempt to the dissociate the Sky brand with Freeview, while maintaining outlets to promote Sky's stuff. So I'd hardly see why they'd rebrand something recently launched on Freeview with the Sky name if this is their thinking.

I may of course be wrong.

Unless the plan is to then remove it from Freeview entirely; replaced by PickTV+2?

Or Sky News +1! Very Happy

They already have a channel repeating what Sky News aired an hour earlier. It's called Sky News! Wink

Yep, but when they repeat it for the third time this year you'll start to get bored of it.

According to the announcer before bullseye last night there's "new" bullseye on wednesday and she called Dave Spikey Jim Bowen! Laughing

Is that the 1988 and 1989 series?

It must be, as the old Central globe logo appeared at the end.

The announcer started talking over the end of the Maze tonight as they were giving out the crystals, which was a bit unprofessional. Why is this?

Also, Challenge seem to be doing a lot more promotions for the channel now rather than advertising other Sky channels, with proper coming up boards and later boards etc which is good. Ninja Warrior is also receiving lots of advertising! Very Happy

Pre-recorded announcement kicked in a bit early.

That's been happening often on Challenge lately; one of last night's Catchphrase episodes had the announcement crashing into Roy Walker's outro.

If I'm imagining an automated playout system correctly, surely the broadcaster must add 'flags' in at certain frames, to kick in adverts, announcements etc?

Well whenever Sky did this to Challenge content they must have had their eyes closed.

Apparently this is from 1989. Aren't Challenge currently showing a 1989 series?

That has been an issue with so many channels new to Freeview over the last decade. Great to see such shows when they launch, but they more often than not just return to the beginning once all episodes are shown rather than alternating with other shows.
