Anyone see the first episode of GamesMaster that was on just after Knightmare? Good old Super Mario Bros. 3! If I recall correctly, the Mega Drive was king at the time.
Not sure how it's going to appeal to a wide audience though, what with all the latest hints & tips from 1992.

I'm also wondering why it wasn't made in widescreen......

Because Challenge don’t broadcast in widescreen, and as far as we know wont for some time. So if they broadcast in 4:3 they might as well make a show in 4:3. Anyway, if it were made in widescreen, they would show it in 14:9 letterbox. We might as well have more picture with it in 4:3 instead of 14:9 letterbox.

Most other flextech produced shows are still made in 16:9 and put out in 14:9.

Oh?
Well Are the Camera Crew and all those who film it French, so do French TV Makers still have most stuff in 4:3? The show has got something to do with the French production Team right, but would that determine if it would be 4:3 or 16:9?

Not sure......Something to ponder over.

If you watched the making of programme (which I presume you didn't_, you will see each country that films there uses its own camera crew & equipment.
