"Sky Challenge"? "Sky Pick"? Seriously? Do they not know what their own channels are called?

I get Pick, but why Challenge? Isn’t that a game show channel?

The channel used to show wrestling, as it was apparently the only suitable outlet for the contract they had for it after they got rid of Bravo. At least it was lucky they didn't get rid of Challenge on Freeview when Arts was announced to be coming, so that saves them having to air it on there.

I think the point is to brand the channels in the minds of those who don't know that they're owned by Sky.

I think also the words 'Pick' and 'Challenge' don't exactly stand out as channel names in press releases on their own, especially when they're not particularly big brands. Pick in particular is an awful name for a channel.

Guess football isn't an art then.

Full marks though to Sky for making these games FTA.

I know watching Northern Ireland can be pointless, but I didn't mean that sort of Pointless.

I think in terms of getting the message across better they’d be better off referring to them as ‘Pick TV’ and ‘Challenge TV’.

Will these be free to on satellite? As the previous live football on Pick was only that temporary Pick HD that doesn’t exist anymore on that platform.

Of course, Pick TV and Challenge TV were at one point their official names (though not their original names, which were Sky 3 and Family Channel).

Both are showing on the Sky EPG but unless they're creating HD versions of Pick and Challenge this week, they're in SD.

Serbia vs Scotland will also be on Sky One. I wondered if NI vs Slovenia would be on Sky Sports Mix but it currently shows simulcasting Super League with Sky Sports Arena.

In the same way 'Watch' and 'Gold' are terrible names for Googling?
