Yeah there's a couple of different versions, ITV's play along version that they did presumably as a filler, and the full-blown "Classic Millionaire" strand where somebody has already edited together a collection of games from the episodes but in a neater way. These just finish and begin mid game I believe.

ITV wanted their money's worth out of Millionaire it seems Smile

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe ITV gets naff all for distribution of old Millionaire, and the 'Classic' packages were put together by Celador/2waytraffic/Sony?

Yes but Celador and friends weren't going to cobble together "classic Millionaire" for ITV for fun, was the point I was trying to get at.

Its probably safe to say they get sod all now its in effectively syndication on Challenge and whatever, but back when they were initially airing it it was probably your traditional "we'll pay you so much to do this and air it and whatever else and we'll show a load of adverts" model.

More likely it was upsold I reckon, the same way Challenge used to occasionally get rights to The People Versus (v2) and that panel show they did for Channel 4; I very much doubt the latter 2 were programmes Challenge actively sought but were packaged up with Classic Millionaire.
