American Ninja Warrior never seems to last long on the channel. Used to try watching it on Challenge when it used to be a reality series to compete on the Japanese version rather than the US version of Sasuke it became but they rarely seemed to complete a series - usually ended up getting bumped for Bullseye.
I preferred the internet when it had a sense of humour.

You'd think it would do better as it's a show you can really tune into at any point in an episode and at any point of the series and grasp what is going on, and I suspect much of Challenge's traffic is down to channel hopping.

Might as well put this here rather than start a thread asking for one question. I'm in Australia at the moment and managed to catch the Australian version of The Chase. The graphics on the table are different from the UK one. Do international versions make their own versions of the table graphics? I quite prefer the UK version's layout.

Yeah, the international versions have their own layout. Quite like watching the Chase Australia when I'm over there, but Andrew isn't anywhere near as good as Bradley. I like Andrew, but he just doesn't have Bradley's charm.

And when the Chase came to the states a few years ago, the less said about that Baywatch reject host, the better- they Americanised the show too much.

That’s what’s interesting about me travelling a lot- I get to see foreign versions of UK and US formats and see what works and what doesn’t.

The best foreign version of a UK format is Millionaire Hot Seat once you get your head round it.

Max Bygraves Family Fortunes was shown again earlier today, but the programme description said it was Les Dennis

That's interesting!! Have they reacquired it? They haven't shown Max for a number of years when they obtained Bob Monkhouse's final series. Has it been on all afternoon from 2.30pm till 5.30pm?? If so, this is a very welcome edition showing some 80's shows again!! Let's hope for some more! When is Max on again? BIG Money, BIIIG Money! Laughing

It’s probably the edited versions, iirc there is a youtube clip of the "name a famous irishman" question that came from challenge where the segment of max saying "you get idiots on this programme" is cut out for no apparent reason, which ruins part of the joke. I would hope that Challenge would try to find the original tapes but i find that unlikely more than 30 years on from that.
