Sorry that was my fault, I should have been clearer. I meant the original "short titles" with the out of focus flashing board behind the credits were around until the refresh.

Later series of course mixed everything up and some were long, short and some had the hand jive for credits.

It would be nice if it went out at 11pm to give bullseye a rest.

The continuity announcer started announcing too early on yesterday’s 7:15 airing Eggheads, he started announcing during Dermot’s end spiel, when the announcements should play after the credits.

This has happened on and off since Challenge moved to Sky's playout facility from Red Bee way back in 2011. No idea what causes it, is it common on other Sky stations?

Pick (when it was Sky 3) used to occasionally do it as well. I note the Eggheads episodes are tagged as "new" (which seems to imply they haven't been aired under Sky ownership) but have these episodes aired before? That might explain why the announcement is early, because when playout moved the issue affected quite a few programmes (presumably a marker or whatever it is that triggers the announcement is in the wrong place on the file) so it'll probably continue to do it until somebody notices.

I notice on social media they're very keen to big up the revived Millionaire. Last time they went on about Robot Wars and then the new Robot Wars appeared on the channel a short while later. I expect to see an announcement soon about Jeremy's Millionaire (followed by EPG entries that don't distinguish which era they're airing!).

The series they are currently showing of Eggheads is Series 14, from 2012, so just after the Sky switchover.

The 11am airings of Blockbusters are from the 1994 Sky series. Today's 11am is the first episode from that run.

It appears these airings end on Thursday, replaced by Wheel of Fortune on Friday then Supermarket Sweep from Monday.

Wikipedia suggests there are 180 episodes, of which 179 have been aired by Challenge previously. By my count we will be at 48 on Thursday. I'm disappointed as it's my first time watching through this series; I hope the rest goes out, even if it's in a graveyard slot.
