I saw a Sky VIP sponsorship a couple of weeks ago.

That's not "proper" sponsorship in this regard though, that's effectively a sting for their own product.

Yes, it’s the kind of thing they would put on when they’ve got no other sponsors.

And it's usually Idris Elba looking at a picture of a woman on TV and saying "Oh... look at that". Which didn't go down too well when it was shown all day on International Women's Day earlier this year.

Is there a brightness issue on the current episode of Blankety Blank?

From the 6th Jan, the Weakest Link goes back to series 10, ep1 again in the 6pm slot.

Just before xmas we got up to S10, ep115 during the 6pm/7pm double bills. So have challenge ran out of 'new' episodes so are starting again with s10, ep1.

The Weakest link had done really well and I've enjoyed watching it again. Hope they buy in more series. (Would really like to see the early years again, series 1-3 for example).

So from next Wednesday, Challenge are showing "New" eps of Weakest Link according to the EPG...

After they got to ep115 of S10 just before christmas last year, then in Janurary this year started off again at ep1....why did they not just carry on from s10, ep116?...as thats where we are now up to from next week.

Its managed to keep the 6pm slot now since Autumn last year so must be ticking along well in the 6pm slot ratings wise? Its the only programme I bother with on Challenge these days....just wish they would show more early series of TWL.

Its the 20th Anniversary of Weakest Link on the 14th August this year. I wonder if BBC or Challenge will do anything to mark this event?

Challenge are showing "New" episodes of Blankety Blank with Les Dawson back to the usual time of 5pm this Saturday, according to the Sky EPG. I think they have only shown half of Series 4 with Terry Wogan and all of Series 1 apart from episode 3. I'm glad they're showing Les Dawson episodes. Whether these are Les' 1st and 2nd series from 1984 and 1985 which were last shown in approx 2013/2014?

It may be Series 12 from 1988 according to my phone app, which I'm not sure has been repeated previously. This is great news Thumbs up .

Well it looks like Weakest Link is getting replaced by Impossible Celebrities next Wednesday.

There’s only 12 episodes of !mpossible Celebrities, so it could be a temporary move.

Looks like that is the case, BTW.

"You're watching Challenge, and this next one contains outdated attitudes which may cause offence". This appears to be Challenge's variation on Sky's wider policy they've recently introduced and stuck on the front of various movies and shows and whatever else.

This was put in front of a 1986 episode of Strike It Lucky this afternoon most likely because one of the contestants was originally from Hong Kong and Barrymore was doing a mock Chinese accent off and on throughout the first half.

Honestly, good on them for making viewers more aware about this policy and why it's important to recognize our behaviours and attitudes to people of different races at that time.
