Krypton Factor - about time it was revived BUT I fear it'll be heavily dumbed down. Could work on a Challenge budget though.
Gladiators - was too much talk first time round.
Celebrity Squares would be perfect I reckon for a remake as there isn't much to generally mess around with on the format. Unfortunately Bob Monkhouse has left us so as to who would present it I don't know.[/quote]

Celebrity Squares one of 2 people not very much mentioned nowadays.... either Andrew O'Connor or Lenny Bennett (he did a similar gameshows in the early 80's called punchlines - remember it?)

Andrew O'Connor! That rings a bell. I have a BBC1 trailer for the gameshow One To Win that he hosted in the early nineties. Basically a poor mans version of Bobs Full House...say no more.

Any of the aforementioned shows....

It's hard to say what gameshows should be remade or revived - that Knightmare pilot was a rather ploddy affair with none of the appeal of the original - when they brought back Catchphrase you just think of the dodgy presenter with the broken leg and the ersatz animations - same with Family Fortunes.

However, if the gameshow starts like this, it should be a winner whatever!

Problem with celebrity squares is that a lot of the D list celebs you'd get on it these days have such a limited lifespan - think ex Big Brother/X-Factor etc contestants... will it stand up to being repeated ad infinitum?

see how all those projects are doing ten to fifteen years later

Hmm - might prove a bit embarrassing. I'm guessing that all the hastily built projects from the programme will be crumbling by now.

Price is Right and Family Fortunes are being re-made, so they are out of the equation.

--- Play Your Cards Right
--- Wheel of Fortune
--- 3-2-1
-- Gladiators
--- The Crystal Maze
--- Strike It Lucky - With barrymore
--- Wipeout
--- Catchphrase ( with old central set!)
--- Blankety Blank - Paul o grady

I think these would have the best chance I would like play your cards back! and 321

They'd have to find someone who can do the Ted Rogers "3-2-1" hand movement though!

In reality for me theres a two way choice with a common theme.

Either pick out the more obscure of the terrestrials of the 80's; Four Square, Keynotes etc. Or look to America for 80's inspiration, Jeopardy, The Pyramid Game etc.

How about such daytime gems as 4-Square, All Clued Up, or Lucky Ladders?
