This is its series. A few special shows dotted around throughout the whole year.

I found a nice montage of the Challenge Anneka themes on jinglemad if anyone's interested, they're clean aswell.

Just turned over to have a look at the episode on now; recording a charity album in five days...

I mention it as It's triggered a moment of major deja vu for me, even moreso when Curtis Stigers was mentioned as I swear I've seen something terribly similar with said artist on Challenge Anneka some years ago! Anybody have some idea, or have I just lost it?

I forgot it was on, so only caught the end, but what I saw seemed so similar to the original series. Great stuff. I can't find a repeat anywhere though... typical ITV they repeat the crappest stuff on digital but never anything "one off".

TV at its best - something which doesn't rely on washed-up celebrities sitting around a house doing nothing (or even non-celebrities sitting doing nothing) but grips you and emotionally involves you throughout. Glad it's come back. Theme sounds a bit ropey though.

If the Xmas one is any guide, the Community Channel (which has three hours in the morning on Freeview 87 and whole-day on Cable/Satellite) will be repeating it ad infinitum for a while.

I'd be interested in that.

Did anyone notice the title sequence at the start had some of the sound effects on that were overlayed on the original BBC sequence (such as the bridge being put up, that sort of thing) whereas on the episode at Christmas they had a clean version (I could have sworn they did anyway). Seems a bit of a step backwards!

Yeah I noticed that! They were different titles but can't understand why they'd make that mistake as they used the clean music elsewhere in the episode. Not sure where that very brief music for one of the break stings came from though.

I also noticed this too! In general the show was very touching and well done - I look forward to more Challenge Anneka soon.

Curiously, UTV billed the programme as Challenge Anneka II on the endboards of their trailers etc.
