You can get the same programming on Uk Style most of the time. And I get an awful feeling that the latest brainstorm on ITV Digital will be to bring the recently launched UK Food in it's place - something is definately going there because the channel hasn't been removed - it's currently transmitting endless promos about ITV Digital. Of course they'll probably claim that the existance of UK Food is good enough reason to increase the subscriptions again. They will soon be relieving me of £10 a month just for Sky One which I had to drop down to due to chronic lack of cash.
And yeah, Wellbeing is closing soon. And the two way TV games channel, only launched in July, which supposedly would be hugely better than the old ONgames is also going (well lets face it, ONdigitals games have gone from quite good to OKish to crap, and two way, aswell as cutting the number of games in half (and more than half compared to the same time the previous year), also featured the two crapest games ever to make it onto OD).
And incase anyone reads it, TV7 monthly highlights was cancelled in December. Apparantely because 'a monthly magazine can't do the service justice'. More likely because it was pointless and free and ITVD hate free.
So what exciting channels might they add? Challenege TV, Hallmark, more Discovery channels (the very short lived period of having Discovery/Wings/Kids sharing a channel worked quite well and I can't believe it was only temporary until Discovery took over full time)?
Nah, I bet we'll be served up with UK Food and UK Gold 2. And maybe UK Drama (but that would be quite a good edition).
And maybe they'll surprise us and, nearly 6 months after the name change to ITV Digital, get around to updating the graphics on the boxes!
Does everyone still have their ITV Digital stickers intact btw? Mine were so badly made that the logo wore off and became just a silvery sticker, it soon got removed
