Leeds have never done London or Meridian. On the occasion that Jon Mitchell did the ITV National Weather, Sian Lloyd still did London Weather

I have seen Jon Mitchell present on ITV1 National Weather and just assumed that it must have come from Leeds rather than sending him all the way down to London to record it!

Andrew you must be right!

Jon did present the national weather from Leeds, but not the London local weather -- that was done by Sian, is what Andrew is saying.

Every region still has presenters that are local to that region in some way -- Wales have their own two, Central's are long servers, Meridian, Westcountry, UTV, Channel, Tyne Tees -- all have their own. GMG North's Debbie and Jon have been around for a long time [Granada didn't have in-vision presenters until 2002, neither did Border], and SMG just use their CAs or newsreaders.

Perhaps HTV West have lost out slightly, but instead of sharing with Wales, they just now mainly share with Central.

And I saw one of the local Anglia forecasters a couple of weeks ago. Surely they wouldn't just make those two presenters lose their jobs when nowhere else has enforced this, especially if Meridian can keep theirs.
