A couple of things to note, there is no longer a version for each sub-region. Before it used to be the exact same bulletin but with different grahpics for East, West and South. This new version is for the WHOLE Carlton Central region which makes it harder for me to see!
Secondly, what were they thinking? The graphics look horrible!!! It's not just a case of getting used to them, frankly the scrapping of the sub-region forecasts was enough to make me hate them! I would of thought the Met. Office would provide a much better service but no such luck.
Overall, I don't like them. I will probably get used to them but they need to bring back seperate forecasts first! I must say WSI/The Weather Channel provided a much better service though.
The title from your picture looks good, not too sure about the font though!
The weather graphics I agree don't look too good though, OK they look awful!

Central aren't carrying symbols for Herefordshire, the Welsh borderland and Shropshire. Why?
It is better without them showing the (supposed) borders of the sub-regions, bu it looks messy now.
The map is also quite hard to make-out. On my TV, the symbols go off the screen for the East of the region.
They need a neater-drawn map.
It's OK for me in Coventry, though, as they put a lot of symbols around my area(- as expected with 'Central Weather').
Also I'd like to say how I don't think reporter Richard Brown should be presenting Central News at Six with Marie; it was bad enough with Sarah Teale by her side, but at least she had an accent worthy of being considered Midlandish.
Anglia Weather has also changed, but it's map is clearer (like the HTV Wales one pictured), and labels some places.

the look is good but the labelling isn't that clear. if they could highlight the region they are using then we'd know where they're talking about.
i think regions should use their sub-regions and highlight some areas. in the central region that would be birmingham (west), nottingham (east) and abingdon/oxford (south)
what a mess! i cant believe central would leave wsi for this! titles = ok, but the map is awful, bad enough having no seperate subregional forecasts, but living in a land locked region, borders and place names are needed to workout where you live!
it also seems that either the presenters worked for central (instead of wsi) or central or the met office have poached them from wsi?
i can only hope this is a temporary measure, as central weather was always far better than the bbc.
btw, anyone know where it is now done from? cant be wsi birmingham anymore, i suppose charlie/emma live near birmingham - so is it done from central west's virtual set?
The dots theme looks vaguely similar to the backdrop of Central News East's set - so it might just fit in. As for the lack of sub regions - big thumbs down!!
Central, and BOTH HTV's had the same dots, the same graphics and the same presenter at 18:25 tonight.

It doesn't half seem dificult to work out where you are with Central now (i used to live there).
But both HTV and Central weather with the same presenter at the same time - I find that very impressive, I wish I could do that, the pub and work would be my choice...
(ok, i'm babbling, STOP!)
Must be pre-recorded, something i suspected on GMG for a while
