I've started this thread up because the other one appears to have dissapeared. Sad Now I've said that, it'll turn up. Wink

Anyway, here are some pictures from the bulletin last night, its appears they are coming from a CSO studio rather than the usual one. I would of preferred them to use the normal studio all the time like Central News East do, anyway here are the pictures. The shot with the 'screen' actually shows an animated Central News logo.

I'm not keen I'm afraid, the studio needs some more decoration, it's too sparse and I think the colour blue is overused somewhat. It makes the studio look very cold! Needs warming up!

We need some red and some orange in there!

But what I want to know is: Does the new studio reflect the vibe of 'energy going through Birmingham and the west midlands in the 21st century'? If it doesn't, well, I'm very disappointed. Very.

Haha!

Very good, they do get them to say something funny things on trailers don't they? And they sounded liked they meant it. Wink

Well, being though I am unaware of this 'thing' going through Birmingham and the West Midlands at the moment, then the studio must reflect it. AFAIK, the West Midlands isn't exactly an exciting place so a white room with no windows would reflect it. Wink

And now, the weather for the new studio area. There won't be many of these around:

But there'll be plenty of cold front colours like:

Pervading the studio decor. Goodnight.

well i give the new studio the thumbs up! - reminds me of the good old days when they all sat around that long desk infront of that huge telly in the citv studio. - they even sometimes had 2 sports presenters on (though i think that was gaby yorath on work experience)

i think the colour blue makes it look neat and expensive - i prefer it to the c.n.east colour scheme

as ive said before, integrate the weather and travel into the main show and use the main studio for all bulletins.

oh and i take it dan barton isnt a great fan of the central news midland share index or the review of the papers

The CNMSI was a bit pointless to be honest, also the papers were only reflecting what had been reported in the main programme, and I don't think there was any real need for that either. Hardly a great loss to the programme. Smile

i wasnt a great fan of them either - i just occured to me the other day thats all.

i think the back ground on the CSO bulletins should have the bit of the studio right at the far end (opposite the screen) - the current back ground is naff... or they could just use the new studio.

does anyone know if this has affected the ratings? - i think midlands todays main show should be renamed the midlands tonight
