The video is about 1.8Mb, sorry about this, but it IS worth it.
Also, there are some other impressive studio shots I need to upload, will also do those later.

It's fabulous!
Indeed they do say something along the lines of 'From Carlton in Birmingham, Central News with...' Which is accompanied by a sweeping shot of the outside of the Gas Street building. Although I don't remembering them mentioning 'West Midlands' in the titles.
The titles feature shots of Bob Warman, Joanne Malin, and Llewella Bailey - but not with their names written like CNEast.
Speaking of CNEast, have there titles now been altered to show Marie Ashby and whoever her new co-presenter is? (as opposed to Marie and Llewella, as the latter has now defected to CNWest - where she came from in the first place)

i agree it was well worth the wait - theyll have overtaken mids today in no time. i think the idea of naming that train 'central news' was a great idea, how many other regional news programs can boast that? - compared with midlands today who were droaning on about flu jabs and nicks love of worcestershire county cricket ground - no contest.
there are a few tweaks still to be made - but nothing major i dont think...
im not too sure how long that new chromakey studio design will last (why not use their brand new studio?) tut
and i think they need to cut down on the times they both are on camera whilst one speaks (whoevers not talking looks a bit silly)
and will they ever use the plasma screen on the wall? - i never noticed them use it (just showed some VT clocks and colour bars etc)
but i give them top marks for the new weather titles and music - theres no sponsor anymore- so why cant they hand over to the weather within the main show - 'now over to the weather with xxxxx' titles, weather 'back to you in the studio', titles then carry on with the news - could even do the same with the travel SEEMS SO OBVIOUS !
oh and did anyone else notice how mids today are trying to get in on the action 'we want to hear from you' for the regional advisory council

i posted it during one of those times wen it went really slow 0- and it got posted twice - so i deleted one as it was so long
Wow. Central News West does look quite nice! The graphics are good, including the aston. But I really think the aston should be refined to the lower-third portion of the screen, rather than having that sidebar thing. Also they seem to have plenty of room in the studio. So why do the sofa and the coffee table/ desk have to be so close to the backdrop? (I think someone already said something about this.)

yeah - and why do bob and jo sit so close to each other - someone wrote to the evening mail about it, so im not the only one to notice

Perhaps it's something to do with the big thing going through the West Midlands at the Moment!!
Too much innuendo......not enough time............
Nick and Sue used to sit VERY close to each other on BBC Midlands Today, when they used that 'patchwork quilt' style of presentation.
I can't be the only one to notice a strong link between the national ITV News desk and the smaller Central News version, can I? The top of them seem very similar in shape and style.
