The CNEast voiceover says 'LIVE, from Carlton. The East Midlands favourite, Central News at Six.'
We may get a similar announcement but it won't say 'The West Midlands favourite' because that currently BBC Midlands Today but I doubt it will take long for CNWest to become the favourite.
I wonder when Dan has finished with West, he'll want to complete the set and decide to go onto Central News South and give Anne Dawson and Wesley Smith a sofa to sit on in Abingdon?

Concerning the trailer, it does SOUND like Central but Llewela actually says 'Central News is part of the new century, this is how news is going to be presented' but under all that music, it could be mistakened for Central.

It will probably be'This is CARLTON, and now live from Birmingham, Central News West presented by... and...'
That's more-or-less what I thought to expect! I kinda hope so too - it sounds good!

That would be brilliant! I like the idea of 'completeing the set'. Seeing as CNWest is more blue than CNEast (who have that garish orange aswell), perhaps the current purpleness of CNSouth could be retained as part of the slight difference between each sub-region?

Man, even I'm excited and I live no-where near the Carlton Central region!

Yes, well they are promoting it more than ever now!
The showed the trailer at the end of this weeks Newsweek, complete with the signer dancing along to the new theme.
Also, after the Central News bulletin that follows Newsweek, they played the other, shorter trailer.
Promoting it twice, in as many minutes. They must think its really good as well.
Well, I'm certainly looking forward to it.

They seem to be implying that the new look won't be launched until 1800 on Monday, rather than right from the GMTV inserts.
I'm glad about this because I will be at college, so wouldn't get to see the mid-morning, lunchtime and mid-afternoon bulletins.

Do you know what? I was thinking EXACTLY the same thing earlier.
Instead of saying 'tomorrow' they keep saying 'tomorrow at 6' so its possible that it would be the old look for GMTV, updates and lunchtime then at 1800, the new look would come onto the screens.
Whichever they plan to do, then I'll be recording a bulletin or the lunchtime edition just to see if they do launch the new look before Central News at Six.
