LOVE Island bosses are in crisis — after Liza Tarbuck pulled out of presenting the tropical reality show.
Funnygirl Liza, 41, had signed to co-host the singletons programme in Fiji along with Patrick Kielty. But she has changed her mind after being offered a “more interesting” project.
Liza is the second to pull out after talks with Denise Van Outen, 31, ground to a halt. The job has been offered to comedian Daisy Donovan, 30, though she has not yet accepted.
An insider said: “Liza was up for it and was very much looking forward to working with Patrick on such a high-profile show. But something else came up a few days ago that she just could not turn it down.
“Unfortunately, it clashed with Love Island — so she has had to pull out.
“She is disappointed and feels bad for letting down ITV. But unfortunately, it is often the way with TV that these things all come along at once.
“It has left ITV in a bit of a pickle because they thought it was a done deal. They are praying Daisy says ‘Yes’.”
Liza had spoken about her Love Island role and said only last week that she planned to wear a bikini.
She added: “You don’t have to be stick thin.”
Last year’s presenter Kelly Brook was axed amid claims she was “wooden”.
