Sounds like Rick Turk's music has well and truly gone....

I'm just glad no one has suggested Paul O' Grady yet, though I do think he'll be in one of the squares before the series is done.

Paul more submitted to blanklety blank, but Vows to never return.

That doesn't look half bad, apart from a few "celebs" I've never heard of, and that annoying turd of a human being Corden sat in the centre, right where he likes to be so no-one misses him, not that it would be hard to. Might actually give this a watch...

I still think Corbett would have been the best choice, his gameshow presentation on Smalltalk shows that.

He's 20 years older now and reports (subsequently denied) earlier in the year suggested he wasn't in the best of health.

Not quite sure where this Ronnie Corbett obsession here has come from.

Poor old Ronnie seems to have lost his sense of humour. I've seen quite a few recent interviews with him and he just doesn't seem bothered at all and comes across quite fed up or misses things.

I'm sure this kind of discussion would be more suited to a Ronnie Corbett thread over on Metropol.

Yeah, he wasn't quite with it on Graham Norton a few months back and needed Ricky Gervais to explain most of the jokes. Though I suspect that's hearing related rather than his marbles.

Coming back to Warwick Davies, seeing that clip maybe they chose him because he makes the 'big box game' look even bigger?

Interesting choice of 'celebrities' - only a couple of ITV fodder

Bumping this thread up I thought Warwick seemed to host the first episode fairly well. Listening to him being interviewed on Lee Mack's radio 2 show it was mentioned that Tim Vine and Joe Wilkinson are regulars for throughout the series.

It had absolutely no pace though as is the case with a lot of the gameshow revivals because of the need to fill a longer slot.

Celebrity Squares used to go at a frenetic pace, carried along by the wit of Bob Monkhouse in 30 minutes. If it has to be a longer slot then it would be better to have 2 sets of contestants and a play off for the end game.

It wasn't terrible but some game shows are much missed and I don't think this is one of them.

Just caught this on catch up and it was awful. Dreadful zlebs (ITV family),who obviously had rehearsed their answers in advance and a really dark set.
It was always cheesey but at the time funny, which this isn't.

I actually switched over halfway through as it was so painfully slow, and all these extra games they've put in it really aren't needed.

It just like 15 to one...
