I tuned in for a second during Big Brother and it seemed that Sophie Anderton was completely coked up on drugs. She is one true desperate 'celebrity'. Its sickening TV this.
3.2 million is pretty dire stuff. I watched for 5 minutes last night and then switched over. ITV must be mad spending 20 million pounds on this after last year's series was a disaster.
Just think what they could have spent all that on...

But, that's the thing, last year's series wasn't a disaster. It did start getting more viewers towards the end, that's the reason it's back this year.
The presenting team is better than last year thanks to Fearne, however the Irish boy keeps mugging to the camera throughout the links in the vain hope that there will be raucous laughter from the crew.
Im still surprised that this show is coming back, since it was hardly a huge success last year.
Interceptor WAS a success and it never got a second series, to bring back CLI is sheer arrogance.

It is the tackiest thing on mainstream TV, I totally agree with you. I can't believe even Fearne Cotton would stoop so low as to host something like this.
Perhaps Fearne feels some moral obligation to ITV considering they launched her career. And they couldn't get anyone else.
