Im still surprised that this show is coming back, since it was hardly a huge success last year.

Same here, and they seem intent on making it a centre piece of their summer programming as well. I hope it bombs.

Not really. It's mainly going in 10pm & 11pm slots on ITV1, supported by a number of new series at 9pm.

I was refering to the summer promotions I've seen during advert breaks in which it's one of a number of featured programmes. Just seemed like they'd built it up a lot more than I was expecting

According to the Love Island website: CLICK HERE, the show will have live streaming on ITV Play every day.

Last year we pointed out that out of the three words in the title - "Celebrity Love Island" - the only word that had any relevance to the programme was "Island", but having seen the picture in today's News of the World, it seems to be more like an industrial estate!

Hope this bombs as it deserves to do - but you can guarantee ITV will want to make it known if somehow it dents Big Brother's ratings tomorrow!

I'm sure that works both ways

Rightly so.

You'll understand I'm no prude, but am all for calling a spade a spade. "Sex Island" would be a more appropriate title and I think it's probably the tackiest thing on mainstream TV.

It is the tackiest thing on mainstream TV, I totally agree with you. I can't believe even Fearne Cotton would stoop so low as to host something like this. Confused

Honestly, I can't believe people really want to see if one of the nauseating Hervey sister's has sex with say, Shane Lynch...Hope it bombs, big time! Mad

It will be on ITV Play between 1 and 4am. There's no loss of programming as The Mint is also available on ITV2 at this time

It's better shoved over on Play then disrupting ITV2's schedule

But, The Mint is on ITV2 at that time as well. How stupid is that!?

I didn't watch the first series of this. Is this like Big Brother in any way? I'm not a fan of Big Brother but at least they put on a good show for the audience by doing various things. On Love Island are they literally just shoved in there and left to their own devices, or do they actually get them to do anything?

Spot on! That's what it's all about, at the end of the day. Lowest common denominator telly.

Would someone please tell me how being the stepdaughter of a famous ex-footballer qualifies you to be on a "celebrity" show, or the son of an ex-James Bond for that matter? Or, better still - being famous not for WHAT you do but WHO you do.

At this rate I'll be eligible as a contestant, given that I appeared on Spotlight (South West) in 1996 Rolling Eyes
