Celebrity Love Island . . . I can't wait!!

I just want to say one thing... These Z listers are getting paid for laying on a beach all day! Utter crap and the worst pointless programme from ITV. I thought after last year it wouldn't be returning...but oh no..lets polish a turd. Shameful excuse of "entertainment".

Has the lineup been revealed yet?

I'm not smitten with the nature of this show - people who can well afford a luxury holiday being given one + a fee!

I'm also (perhaps uncommonly) a bit put off by the idea of seeing if a bunch of "pretty people" can get into each others pants.

Perhaps I get too much of that in my own life.

Ahem.

It does amazes me why this programme would have any interest to anyone and why you make these people famous!

I echo nok32uk's comments from a bit further up this page. What exactly is the point of such as huge waste of TV
airtime? It's the sort of brainless, useless TV show, made to appeal purely to brainless, useless people. If it was
on the BBC, there'd be complaints a-plenty about it being a waste of TV licence money, not to mention the
usual uproar from the self righteous Daily Mail and its equally self righteous readership.

I really cannot understand why anyone with even half a brain, could find this utter tripe in any way entertaining.

But that sums up most of the youth in Britain today - there's your audience.

I expect it appeals to those people who buy multiple Heat style celebrity magazines every week and read the showbiz gossip in The Sun. Considering how popular these magazines are, it's obviously a lot of people

At least it's only on at 10pm most nights so easy to avoid and allowing other programmes, like Bad Lad's Army to occupy the 9pm slot

I totally agree with you. Today's youth are offered so much low quality filth from so many different low quality channels.

Im still surprised that this show is coming back, since it was hardly a huge success last year.

Well, it did beat Big Brother in the ratings towards the end.
