So I notice both this, and Got To Dance are launching on the same night, both fronted by Davina. Great planning, not.

Whats so bad about that? Got To Dance is on at 6pm with Celeb BB at 9pm

I think it's silly to launch two major programmes on the same night with the same presenter on different channels, that's all.

Got to Dance launched last night though - and frankly it's on Sky1, it's not a major programme. Indeed neither is Big Brother nowadays.

No it didn't, that was just the "warm up" show featuring clips - nothing more.

Its been repeated 3 times since Sunday (or something crazy like that), so you could easily be forgiven for thinking its started.

I'm much more interested in "So You Think You Can Dance?", as the US version is excellent.

If they're not clashing I don't see the harm in it... if anything it's helping Davina transition out of the BB limelight for next year. This year Sky1 are basically being Channel 4's warm up act.

Its hardly a major show though and its almost certainly going to be in the shadow of So You Think You Can Dance

The US version isn't on the BBC though. The Apprentice aside, they don't have the best track record of adapting international formats for the UK.

Anyhow, back to Big Brother and is this pre-season campaign working then - seems to be getting more pre-season posts than usual here. I just wish they'd got Shirley Jones in this time last year - they seem to be shutting the stable door after the horse has bolted.

Buh? Brekkie it's the same show.

Nigel Lythgoe + 2 on the panel with an identical format - auditions, then male/female pairings then individual performances. It runs for the same amount of weeks. Its got the same music and title sequence.

Have you seen either the original or the clips on the Beeb's site?

EDIT: Oh yes - same host - Cat.

Doesn't mean it'll be as good... afterall you're used to US contestants. It's like comparing American Idol to Pop Idol, or Britain's Got Talent with America's Got Talent. It's never the same.

What makes me laugh they got rid of Arlene from Strictly because she was too old. But then stick her on this format which targets a much younger demographic.

What is your source for the 'too old' comment?
